The Area IX Agency on Aging (established as part of the Older Americans act of 1965) serves people with the goal of enabling persons 60 years of age and older to lead independent, meaningful and dignified lives, by providing direct services, contracting for services, and networking with the community to locate services. Because our funding comes from federal, state, and local funds, we offer these services on a donation basis.
